Bagels are one of the few breads that are boiled then baked, which creates the soft inside while keeping a crisp outside.  Bagels originated in Poland in the early 17th century and now sell over a billion dollars worth each year in the United States.
Over the years, many flavors and varieties of bagels have sprung up across the USA.  Cream cheese is a favorite topping on bagels.

National Clean Out Your Computer Day – Second Monday in February

NATIONAL CLEAN OUT YOUR COMPUTER DAY

Celebrated on the second Monday in February, National Clean Out Your Computer Day is a day to take some time out of  your busy schedule to do needed care on your computers.
Take a look at your files and programs on your computers:
Organize your files and folder.
Delete junk files.
Delete duplicate files.
Delete old files and programs not being used.
Over time, files and programs that are unused on your computer clog the memory and cause confusion during retrieval and use of other files.  They may also slow down your computer.  The second Monday in February, Clean Out Your Computer Day, is the day to spend time with your computer!

NATIONAL TOOTHACHE DAY

OUCH!  It is National Toothache Day!  This day is always celebrated on February 9th in the United States.  How would one celebrate a toothache?  That is a question that we do not have an answer for.  So maybe instead, it might be a good opportunity to study up on ways to prevent toothaches and then share your new knowledge with others.
Our research failed to find much information about National Toothache Day.   Some sources think that this holiday coincides with the day the Hershey Corporation was founded  which was February 9, 1894.  Other sources believe that it is linked to the celebration of the Feast of St. Apollonia which is also on February 9th.  There are certain circles of people that believe that St. Apollonia is the Patroness of Toothaches.
If you do have a toothache, we think it is a good idea to call your dentist!

From Wikipedia: “A toothache, also known as odontalgia or, less frequently, as odontalgy, is an aching pain in or around a tooth.   In most cases toothaches are caused by problems in the tooth or jaw,     Some causes of toothache are the more obvious culprits such as a cracked tooth, filling or veneer, dental caries from eating acidic, sweet foods that corrode the fillings and the tooth’s protective enamel layer. This corrosion is caused from the bacteria that are present on the teeth which break down the sugars in refined foods and then excrete them in the form of acids, which then eat away at the protective enamel of the tooth, causing a cavity, infection and eventually toothache.    The severity of a toothache can range from a mild discomfort to excruciating pain, which can be experienced either chronically or sporadically.
